Indigo – Brand Identity

Within Indy, the imperative for a consolidated, inclusive platform catering to government and education procurement needs stood evident. Nicole Kenney, the visionary Founder and CEO, aspired to actualize a system tailored precisely for this purpose, spotlighting collaborations with local and diverse suppliers. The aim was clear: assist school districts in buying what they need, within their budget, in compliance with public procurement laws, and from the best supplier partners.

Challenge: Now, the name “Indigo” came about. It’s a mashup of our beloved nickname for Indianapolis (Indy) and a nod to Government (Go). Plus, indigo just screams wisdom and intuition, perfect for our educators. But standing out from the crowd was tough. My main job? Turn Indigo’s vision into a brand that Indy’s educators would totally vibe with. I wanted a design that felt easy to get into, something that made education feel like a blast.
